Flowers are pretty, but are they friendly? ªá¨à«Ü¬ü¡A¦ý¥¦Ì¤Íµ½¶Ü¡H
Mark came home one day near the end of April and saw Kathleen sitting on a chair in the lawn.
¡§What are you so happy about?¡¨ he asked. Kathleen had a big smile on her face.
¡§You know the saying ¡¥April showers bring May flowers¡¦? Well it rained almost every day last month, so tomorrow I¡¦m expecting bunches of beautiful flowers in the garden.¡¨
¡§We¡¦ll see, but I don¡¦t expect tons of flowers to suddenly grow overnight. Right now I only see leaves and buds.¡¨
The next day Kathleen and Mark woke up early and went to their garden. It was full of beautiful lilies, roses and orchids.
¡§Wow, look at all these great flowers!¡¨ Mark shouted. He was really surprised.
The two walked around and inspected the garden. Kathleen was happy because it was the most flowers she had ever had at one time in the garden.
As they turned their backs to the garden and began to head inside for breakfast, Mark said, ¡§We¡¦ll be able to pick some of them for a Mother¡¦s Day bouquet.¡¨
Suddenly a lily wrapped itself around Mark¡¦s leg, an orchid smacked him in the face and a rose scratched his trunk with its thorns¡K
