Enormous toothpick horse created 超大牙籤駿馬圖問世

An Albanian artist stuck together 1.5 million toothpicks in the shape of a horse. Now he has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for a second time.

The three-dimensional picture by Saimir Strati, 41, is 2m x 4m. It is the largest of its kind, said Andrea Bamfi, a member of Guinness.

Strati said the picture is dedicated to Antonio Gaudi, a Spanish architect. Gaudi designed a number of unique buildings around Barcelona.

The horse picture took 40 days to complete. It was put on display in a museum.

Strati entered the Guinness Book for the first time in September 2006. He had created a portrait of Leonardo da Vinci out of 500,000 nails.

The Leonardo portrait Strati made was so unique that Guinness had to create a new category to recognize the achievement.

一位阿爾巴尼亞藝術家用一百五十萬根牙籤鑲嵌一幅駿馬圖，這位藝術家現已二度寫下金氏世界紀錄。

41歲的塞米爾．斯特拉蒂所創造的牙籤立體駿馬圖長四公尺寬二公尺。金氏世界紀錄的一位成員安卓利亞．班菲稱此作品為史上最大的牙籤立體馬賽克。

斯特拉蒂說這幅圖是要獻給西班牙建築師安東尼．高第。高第在巴塞隆納建造許多獨特的建築物。

這幅駿馬圖耗費四十天完成。它曾在博物館內展出。

斯特拉蒂第一次創下金氏世界紀錄是在二○○六年九月。他利用五十萬根釘子製作了一幅達文西畫像。

因為斯特拉蒂創作的達文西畫像實在太特別了，所以金氏世界紀錄必須為此作品新增一個獎項類別，表揚其成就。(法新社／翻譯：林亞蒂)
