Layers 液體的層次

This experiment can be a little messy, so be sure to wear suitable clothes and prepare the area well.

What you will need:

Some oil

A cork

A coin (a NT$1 or other small coin is best - it must fit in the neck of the bottle)

Water

Food coloring (optional)

Two grapes (unpeeled)

Some honey (corn syrup will work too)

An empty water bottle

A funnel (if you don't have one at home, you can make one from cardboard covered with tinfoil or use a pouring jug to add the ingredients)

Some old newspaper or a tray

- Lay out the newspaper or the tray to protect the area you are working in.

- If you are using food coloring, add it to the water (it will help you identify the water easily).

- Unscrew the lid from the empty bottle and place the funnel in the neck of the bottle.

- Use the same volume of each liquid.

- Carefully pour in enough honey to fill a third of the bottle.

- Carefully pour in enough oil to fill the next third of the bottle.

- Pour in water to the last third of the bottle.

- Wait for the three liquids to settle.

- Now drop in the coin, an unpeeled grape and the cork.

所需材料︰

少許食用油

一只軟木塞

一枚硬幣（新台幣一元或是更小的硬幣為佳，必須可放入瓶內）

水

食用色素（非必要）

兩顆葡萄（請撥皮）

蜂蜜（玉米糖漿也可以）

一個空水瓶

一個漏斗（假如家裡沒有漏斗，你也可以用錫箔紙包著厚紙板自己做一個，或是用有傾倒口的量杯來添加材料）

舊報紙或一只托盤

- 在工作檯面舖上報紙或放置托盤，來保護工作區。

- 假如你想用食用色素，把色素加入水中（可以幫你更容易分辨出水來）。

- 把空水瓶的蓋子轉開，再將漏斗架在瓶口。

- 每一種液體的用量都要相同。

-小心將蜂蜜倒入瓶內三分之一的地方。

-小心倒入食用油，到瓶子三分之二處。

-最後再倒入水，填滿剩下的三分之一。

- 等待三種液體沉澱。

- 最後再丟入硬幣、一顆未剝皮的葡萄與軟木塞。
