A man in the US state of Missouri went to a post office to pick up a novelty phone he ordered over the Internet. When he got there he was alarmed that the package was ticking and it created a bomb scare.
It turned out that the phone — shaped like Winnie the Pooh — had a feature the customer did not know about: An incoming call makes Winnie's head spin. The feature apparently had been turned on in the post.
The ticking that caused an evacuation of the Wright City post office was Winnie's head repeatedly hit the side of the package, said Highway Patrol spokeswoman Cpl. Julie Scerine.
Police and members of the bomb squad were called when the man picking up the package noticed the strange sound.
"It was pretty distinctly ticking," Police Chief Don Wickenhauser said. "And he didn't want to pick it up."
When authorities called the sender, he told them that there was nothing dangerous in the package.
Scerine said authorities found it funny and were happy nothing was wrong when they opened the package.
"I guess the moral of the story is before you send electronics, take the batteries out," she said.

「那是很清楚的滴答聲，」警長唐．威肯豪瑟表示︰
「而且他不願意領取。」
有關單位致電寄件者時，他表示包裹裡沒有任何危險物品。
絲克琳表示，有關單位覺得很有趣，打開包裹時發現沒有任何異樣，也覺得很開心。
她說︰「我想這則故事的精神在於，寄出電子產品前
，請將電池取出。」
