Meet Kathleen the mouse and Mark the elephant. Kathleen is very brave and likes adventure, but Mark is very shy and scared of many things. But friends stay together, so Mark follows Kathleen wherever she goes. Sometimes they get into some very sticky situations.
見見老鼠凱薩琳和大象馬克。凱薩琳非常勇敢又喜歡冒險，但馬克的個性十分害羞，對許多事情都感到害怕。不過，朋友都喜歡黏在一塊兒，所以凱薩琳走到哪兒，馬克就會跟到哪兒。有時候，他們也會碰上非常棘手的情況...
Beach blow out 海邊爆胎！
Mark and Kathleen were eating lunch at Kathleen's house. Between mouthfuls of food, Mark managed to mumble, "I'd like to go on a drive out to the beach today. What do you think?"
"Oh, great idea," said Kathleen. "I'll get the swimsuits, pack some sandwiches, grab some fishing poles and then we'll be ready!"
"You really know how to plan things," Mark replied in awe. "OK, I'll go get the car!"
After loading everything up in the trunk, Mark and Kathleen got in the car. Mark was getting ready to drive.
"Safety belts, check . . . mirrors adjusted, check. oil ok, check. I think we're ready to go!" he exclaimed. And with that, he put the car into gear and started the drive to the beach.
"Boy, this is going to be great," said Mark. "I haven't been to the beach in a long time!"
"I can't wait to lay out in the sun for a while," added Kathleen. "It's always nice to get a little sun."
"I totally agr--" Before Mark could finish his sentence, a tire blew out, making a loud boom. Mark quickly pulled the car over to the side of the road. (Jason Cox, staff writer)
馬克和凱薩琳正在凱薩琳家吃午餐。滿嘴食物的馬克含糊地說︰「我今天想開車到海邊。你覺得怎麼樣？」
「噢，了不起的點子，」凱薩琳說︰「我去拿泳衣、打包一些三明治，拿幾根釣竿，我們就可以出發了！」
「你真的很會計畫事情，」馬克敬畏地回答︰「好，我去開車！」
馬克和凱薩琳把所有東西放進後行李箱後，坐上了車子。馬克準備開車。
馬克大聲嚷嚷︰「安全帶，繫好了‥‥車鏡調整，確認OK。機油也確定沒問題。我想我們可以走了！」他把車子調好排檔，開始往海邊駛去。
「了不起，這一定很棒，」馬克說︰「我已經很久沒到海邊去了！」
「我等不及要躺下來曬太陽，」凱薩琳說︰「曬點太陽總是不錯。」
「我完全贊‥‥‥」馬克還沒說完，一個輪胎就爆胎了，發出碰的一聲巨響。馬克很快把車子停到路邊‥‥‥。 （翻譯：賴美君）
