Have you ever seen a dinosaur? What about a dinosaur egg? This picture shows the fossils of dinosaur eggs.
All the dinosaurs died a long time ago, before there were people on the earth. Today, all we can see of dinosaurs are their fossils. Fossils can be many different things. A fossil can be the shape that's left in a rock of something that died a long time ago, like a leaf or a bug. It can also be the bones of an animal, or something that the animal left behind, like its eggs.
Fossils are very special because they can only be made when the circumstances are just right. Fossils are also full of information. They can tell us many things about the way the world was millions of years ago. (Kayleen Hartman, staff writer)
