Fun with floats

Do you know what this is supposed to look like?

This is a kind of big balloon called a float. Floats are filled with a special gas that makes them fly up into the air where everybody can see them. But as you can see, floats also have ropes attached to them so that they don't fly away. People walk under the float and hold the ropes so that they can take the float wherever they want.

This float is made to look like a TV character named Scooby-Doo. In the TV show, Scooby-Doo is a dog who helps his human friends solve mysteries. Whenever he does a good job, the people give him a special kind of food called a Scooby Snack. They taste really good.

Do you know? PEOPLE LOVE SCOOBY DOO The first episode of Scooby-Doo was broadcast in 1968. Since then it has been cancelled and recreated several times. There have been more episodes of Scooby-Doo made than any other cartoon in history.
