Wouldn't your life be easier if you didn't have to clean your room? Wouldn't it be great if you never had to wash the dishes after dinner?

New robots may be able to do those jobs for you very soon. The robot in this picture can make drinks. All you have to do is turn it on and tell it what you want to drink and it will make it for you.

Building a robot is very complicated. Making drinks is a very easy task, but it still takes a long time to build a robot that can do it.

Most people still can't buy robots because they cost so much money to make. Maybe one day they will cost less money and everybody will be able to have one.

Do you know? ROBOCUP Robocup is an international robot-building competition which promotes robot research. The winner of the contest is whoever builds a team of robots that can beat the human world champion soccer team in the year 2050.
