    Cargo planes

If you needed to move something big to the other side of the world, how could you do it?

You could put it on a big boat, but that would take a long time. You could drive it on a truck, but then how would you cross the ocean? If you need to move something big very quickly, you need a cargo plane.

Cargo planes are so big that you can put busses in them. They also have very powerful engines so that they can fly even if they are carrying very heavy things.

Some cargo planes have a large door in the front of the plane as well as the back. That way you can load cargo quickly from the front of the plane and the back of the plane.
    Do you know?
    EARLY AIR CARGO
France was the first country to transport mail through the air. In 1870 people in Paris attached letters to balloons and let them fly into the air. Of course, nobody could control when and where the balloons would land, so a lot of people never got their mail.

The train left late because it took a long time to load all the cargo.
    因為花了好些時間裝載貨物,這列火車因此延遲發車。
