By Rich Chang, Meggie Lu And Loa Iok-sin Tens of thousands of people took to the streets close to the Presidential Office in Taipei yesterday to protest against the meeting between President Ma Ying-jeou (°¨^¤E) and China¡¦s Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait Chairman Chen Yunlin (³¯¶³ªL), before later moving on to the Grand Hotel where they continued the protests through the evening.

Opposition pans Ma over brief rescheduled meeting
By Ko Shu-ling The much anticipated meeting between President Ma Ying-jeou (°¨^¤E) and China¡¦s Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait Chairman Chen Yunlin (³¯¶³ªL) turned out to be an anti-climax when Chen avoided addressing Ma using his official title during the meeting yesterday. The meeting was pushed forward from 4:30pm to 11am at the last minute to preempt a large-scale protest organized by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
