Labor activists protest in front of the Taiwan High Court in Taipei yesterday after the court rejected an appeal by Taoyuan Confederation of Trade Unions chairman Mao Chen-fei, center in black T-shirt, of his May conviction for violating the Assembly and Parade Act by leading demonstrators in the throwing of eggs at the Presidential Office during protests in October last year. The High Court upheld Mao’s 20-day sentence, although it can be converted into a fine.Sep 04, 2013
