A girl with a painted face laughs while playing a game at the fifth Tianmu Water Canal festival in Taipei's Tianmu District yesterday. The festival, organized by the Caoshan Environmental Association in cooperation with local elementary schools, seeks to promote environmental protection and conservation of water resources. The Tianmu Water Canal has been registered as Tianmu's first and Taipei's 111th historical site.
