Oldest inhabitants
Lung Ying-tai, director of Taipei's Bureau of Cultural Affairs, visited the former residence of late President Yen Chia-kan on Chungching South Road yesterday to inspect the trees on the property. The bureau has launched a census of the city's trees in an effort to save them from wanton destruction.
