Jeremy Lin (林書豪) and James Harden poured in 51 points for the Houston Rockets on Wednesday to deal the Philadelphia 76ers a 125-103 loss.

Harden scored a game-high 33 points and seven assists, topping 20 points for the seventh straight game.

He made 17 of 18 free throws, including six in the fourth quarter, while Lin added 18 points on eight of 12 shots from the field, along with six assists.

“We were both just playing off of each other. We were in a good rhythm today for sure. He attacked and I attacked, and that’s how we like it,” Lin said when describing his chemistry with Harden, according to the Rockets’ official Web site.

“James is kind of the head of the spear. He’s the guy that takes us out and gets us going,” Rockets coach Kevin McHale was quoted as saying.

The Rockets’ Omer Asik scored 17 points and Toney Douglas scored all his 17 points in the fourth quarter, including five three-pointers, to help propel his side to 9-2 in their last 11 games at home.

The Rockets dominated the majority of the game, with a season-high 56 percent shooting, to lead 56-51 at halftime.

A further 18-5 run by the Rockets in the fourth quarter gave the home team a double-digit lead for the remainder of the game.

The 76ers coach, Doug Collins, said after the game that “we hung in there for about as long as we could. We just couldn’t get any stops. And Harden controlled the game.”

“We are just so undermanned,” he added.
