DPP legislative caucus whip Ker Chien-ming (柯建銘) criticized Legislative Speaker Wang Jin-pyng (王金平) and legislative Secretary-General Lin Hsi-shan (林錫山) for approving prosecutors' search of Hsueh Ling's legislative office.

Lin said he had granted permission because prosecutors had notified the legislature of their action in accordance with Article 149 of the Criminal Procedural Law (刑事訴訟法).
