A flurry of high-level diplomatic visits is underway, including a trip to Asia by US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice meant to present a unified front to North Korea.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alexeyev arrived in Seoul yesterday. The chief US envoy to the six-nation talks, Christopher Hill, will visit Japan today, the US Embassy in Tokyo said.
Meanwhile, a South Korean scientific institute yesterday revised the epicenter of last week's suspected North Korean nuclear test blast.
The new epicenter is 7km west of the previously estimated location near Kilju County in Hamkyung Province, according to the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources in Daejeon.
