`Mix-up' cited in Bush's failure to disclose stock sale

The last time the government created a task force with a broad mandate to probe white-collar crime, prosecutors investigated the savings and loan association scandals of the late 1980s. Then as now, the Bush family was under fire politically for its corporate ties.
