After Daniel Pearl's murder, his family turned to music to promote cross-cultural understanding

After Wall Street reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and executed by Islamic extremists in Pakistan six years ago, his parents, Ruth and Judea Pearl, chose to use thier family's tragedy to help promote cultural understanding. As a result, the Daniel Pearl Music Day event was begun in 2002 and has been held worldwide every year since.

Misia, an atypical Japanese pop star will make her Taiwanese debut today

To her Taiwanese fans, Misia (米希亞) is best known for her singles It's Just Love, which is a Shiseido commercial theme tune and Everything, the theme song for a Japanese TV drama. She is one of few Japanese pop stars who has never performed on a TV show. In spite of this, she remains popular.
