Legacy Taipei, located in a former warehouse at Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914), hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tonight, four of the most popular bands from this year’s The Next Big Thing series return with a year-end show. They are psychedelic rockers The Gigantic Roar (巨大的轟鳴), electronic post-rock act Formosa Romance, electronic rock outfit Flux and grunge rockers Slack Tide.

Melodic death metal/metalcore band Greedy Black Hole (貪婪黑洞) celebrates the release of its latest album tonight at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, with Invincible Tapir (無敵貘), SLAM and Morals Abyss (道德深淵) also playing. Tomorrow’s spotlight is on Hong Kong’s math rock band tfvsjs, joined by Taiwanese guitarist and rocker Hung Sheng-hao (洪申豪) and Elephant Gym (大象體操). Slowcore artists Double Cheese (大波起司) is the main act on Sunday, followed by garage rock outfit HiJack and pop rocker Misi Ke (柯泯薰) on Wednesday.

Tonight’s show at indie rock club Revolver features reggae rock group Hang in the Air (盪在空中), psychedelic heavy rockers Sleaze (湯湯水水) and instrumental rock band BHD. Tomorrow, the venue celebrates its third anniversary with a troop of bands and DJs including electronic duo Dronetonics, punk outfit Forests (森林合唱樂團), post-punk rockers Macbeth (馬克白) as well as DJs Sorry Buttons and Geometer.

Garage rock outfit HiJack travels to the harbor city tonight, accompanied by Kaohsiung rockers Sunset Samurai (夕陽武士) and grunge band KoOk. Tomorrow, the venue hosts a tribute concert honoring late rocker Wong Ka-kui (黃家駒) of the Hong Kong rock band Beyond, with a group of local musicians including Alex, Hsiao En (曉恩) and Lo Yung-chang (羅永昌).
