Legacy Taipei, located in a former warehouse at Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914), hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tomorrow, Canadian rock band Suuns makes its debut show in Taiwan with Hang in the Air (盪在空中) as the opening act. Celebrated Mando-pop producer Lee Cheng-fan (李正帆) holds a concert on Wednesday.

Chiptune band Physical Chemical Brother (理化兄弟), hip-hop artist Aristophanes (貍貓) and electronic duo Orientone (大聲東) gather at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, tonight. Sunday’s roster includes alternative rock outfit Silverbus (銀巴士) and Slack Tide. The main act on Wednesday is Taiwan’s veteran hip-hopsters and activists Kou Chou Ching (拷秋勤), and it is the release party of melodic death metal group Invincible Tapir’s EP on Thursday. Also on the bill is post-hardcore act Seeking the Ocean and One Way Street.

It is a night of drum and bass tonight at indie rock club Revolver, spun by DJs Fenner, Robi Roka and Lai. The venue hosts a Mando-pop extravaganza tomorrow featuring an army of musicians and DJs including Big Pie (周大派), Miao Tsai (喵仔), Hsiao Fan (小凡), Zo and Starer Wander (宿昱星). It is Garage/punk outfit Floaty and General Sky on Wednesday, followed by electronic/metal band 77NDD and TurtleCock & the Chicken Fuckers on Thursday.

Sunday’s lineup features dance/rock band Acidy Peeping Tom (微酸的偷窺狂), ambient/chill-out band 90Hz and electronic/alternative rock outfit Sleeping Brain (眠腦).

Musical talent, poet and radio host Summer Lei (雷光夏) appears tonight at Witch House (女巫店), an intimate coffeehouse-style venue in the National Taiwan University area. Folk/pop group Hush! takes the stage tomorrow. Traveling songstress Chang Hsin-jou (張心柔) arrives on Thursday.

Tafalong (白螃蟹樂團) blends reggae, jazz, pop with Amis tunes tonight at Kafka on the Shore (海邊的卡夫卡), a coffeehouse-cum-music and arts venue in the National Taiwan University area. Acoustic guitarist duo Cheng Kuang-hsien (鄭光顯) and Chen Min-kuan (陳民官) perform on Sunday.

Currently on international tour, YouTube sensation David Choi holds his Taiwan session on Thursday.

Popular comedy rockers Wonfu (旺福) holds a concert tonight at Riverside Cafe (河岸留言). Funk/rock group Mofo Party (脫序派對) shares the stage with indie rockers Belabus (白蘿蔔) tomorrow. Sunday’s lineup is formed by psychedelic folk rockers No.7 Cyan (七號青) and Islanders (島嶼樂團). Electronic/post punk group Miss Banana (香蕉小姐) and guitarist Wang Hui-chu (王彙筑) take the stage on Tuesday, while Electric Mess Age (電子混亂世代) offers a blend of disco funk and acid jazz on Wednesday, with Mando-pop group Every Planet (美味星球) also playing. Thursday’s show is by acoustic folk duo Cozy Diary (輕日記) and violin player and singer Kevin Liao (廖柏雅).

Featuring saxophone player Sam Su (蘇聖育) and drummer Doris Lin (林冠良), S&D Jazz Quintet (S&D爵士五重奏) performs tonight at Sappho de Base, a late-night lounge bar that hosts mostly jazz shows. The Ash Hines Jazztet plays jazz grooves and compositions influenced by the cool-Jazz genre tomorrow. Formed by Ito Daisuke and Mal, A Capella jazz duo Piece of Cake from Japan takes the stage on Sunday.
