Legacy Taipei, located in a former warehouse at Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914), hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tomorrow, popular late 1990s disco rock band Sticky Rice (糯米糰) returns with frontman Ma Nien-hsien (馬念先). Several groups of indie rockers congregate on Sunday, including Inhuman Band (非人物種), Sorrow of Youth (少年維持的煩惱) and Zenkwun (神棍). Award-winning Taiwanese musician Hsieh Ming-yu (謝銘祐) performs on Wednesday.

The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, hosts female rap/hip-hop artist Miss Ko (葛仲珊) tonight. Tomorrow, Taiwan’s female-fronted chamber ensemble Cicada teams up with six theatrical artists to create a musical performance. Blues outfit EggplantEgg (茄子蛋) shares the stage with hard rock act Who Are You (隱藏人物) on Sunday, and it is indie pop rockers Passionate Winkers (激情睫毛), Tight Tight Crotch (緊褲襠) and ambient/chill-out band 90Hz on Thursday.

Tonight’s show at Indie rock club Revolver features electronic outfit Sonic Deadhorse (音速死馬), free jazz group Big Egg Hell Dog (巨蛋地獄狗) and punk outfit Forests (森林). Tomorrow’s roster include emo pop groups Jtiki J (鐵支樂團) and State of the Heart (本能) as well as alternative metal act XIII Goat (拾參羊). Electronic/post punk group Miss Banana (香蕉小姐) and indie rockers Ridiculous Jackson (荒謬傑克森) hit the stage on Wednesday, followed by ambient/indie-electronica act Heartones (心電樂), electronic rockers Flux and pop group Moon Police (月亮警察) on Thursday.

Pop rock group Lazycall and As Real play tonight at Roxy Rocker, a basement hangout for indie rockers and fans in Taipei. Tomorrow’s lineup is formed by garage rockers Bowztiger (包子虎樂團) and Super Tortoise (超級龜). Blues outfit EggplantEgg performs on Wednesday.

Acoustic folk groups Crispy (脆樂團) and Four Pens (四枝筆樂團) appear at Witch House (女巫店), an intimate coffeehouse-style venue in the National Taiwan University area. Folk musician Lee Te-yun (李德筠) takes the stage tomorrow. Singer-songwriters Ellery and Megan Dooley perform original music on Thursday.

Tonight’s show at Riverside Live House (河岸留言西門紅樓展演館) features several big-name groups including popular reggae/Aboriginal rock group Matzka (瑪斯卡), veterans Tizzy Bac, post-punk rockers Macbeth (馬克白) and ambient electronica artists Empty Space on a Chessboard (棋盤上的空格). Pop rock Buddha Jump (佛跳牆) performs tomorrow, and it is Mando-pop singer Zou Zong-hans (鄒宗翰) on Thursday.

Marine 16, a smooth jazz band from Hong Kong, arrives at Riverside Cafe (河岸留言) tonight. Pop musician Dawen (王大文) performs with friends tomorrow, while hip-hop group Chiu and Love (丘與樂) and pop rockers Gsus (激射樂團) play on Sunday. The Silence (沉默之音) blends blues, folk and funk and reggae on Tuesday. Also on the bill is Hello Nico. Pop rock group Dream Toy (夢托翼) and alternative rock outfit Morphineside (嗎啡隱私) form Wednesday’s double bill, and Aboriginal group Original Brew (原味醞釀) and acoustic rock musician/producer/composer Elisa Lin (林依霖) come on Thursday.

Jazz musician Peng Yu-wen (彭郁雯) teams up with Weichung Lin Duo (林偉中二重奏) and bass and harmonic player Toshi Fujii tonight at Sappho de Base, a late-night lounge bar that hosts mostly jazz shows. Blues outfit David Chen Machine performs tomorrow, followed by the reunion party of Goth-punk act Sky Burial on Sunday. It is Su Sheng-yu Jazzy Quartet (蘇聖育四重奏) on Thursday.

Folk group One Day Fans (一日球迷) and R&B/psychedelic rock act Air Dolphins (海豚樂段) hit the stage tonight at Tiehua Music Village (鐵花村), an arts village composed of a music venue, design and crafts shops and a weekend arts fair in Taitung City. Te Ori Tahiti Here (大溪地草裙舞) and Amis group Kakeng (旮亙樂團) perform tomorrow, while solo act Glory (葛洛力) fuses pop, folk and rock on Sunday. On Thursday, expat musician Damien (阿明) plays reggae, rock, folk and a bit of bossa nova.
