Legacy Taipei, located in a former warehouse at Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914), hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tonight, the spotlight is on indie pop singer-songwriter Peggy Hsu (許哲珮). Several indie bands and musicians including garage rock favorites 88 Balaz (88顆芭樂籽), Amis singer-songwriter Suming (舒米恩) and comedy rockers Wonfu (旺福) will team up with groups of elementary school students for a charity concert tomorrow. Electronic/alternative rock outfit Sleeping Brain (眠腦) hits the stage tomorrow at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists. Sunday’s main act is post-rock act Lightpainting (暖劃), accompanied by experimental singer-songwriter Wang Yu-jun (王榆鈞) and noise-maker Dawang Yingfan Huang (黑狼黃大旺). Wednesday’s lineup is formed by punk rockers Touming Magazine (透明雜誌), We Are So Sad (傷心欲絕) and psychedelic heavy rockers Sleaze (湯湯水水). The venue hosts London-based electronica duo Simian Mobile Disco on Thursday.
