Legacy Taipei, located in a former warehouse at Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914), hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tomorrow it is Japanese post-rock/jazz crossover band Special Others with Elephant Gym (大象體操) as the opening act. Khalil Fong’s (方大同) concert on Sunday is sold out. Six-time Grammy award-winner Daniel Ho team up with Taiwan’s Aboriginal musicians including Dakanow (達卡鬧), Ilid Kaolo (以莉.高露) and Hao-en (昊恩) for a show on Wednesday.

Funk-rock/nu-metal band Coach (教練) hits the stage at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, tomorrow. Wednesday’s roster is dance/rock band Acidy Peeping Tom (微酸的偷窺狂), acoustic indie-pop group French Cheese (法式綺思) and psychedelic folk rockers No 7 Cyan (七號青). American rock outfit Dirty Projectors plays on Thursday with Ra Ra Riot as the opening act.

Indie rock groups Posh Inverse (優雅逆轉) and Blood Orange play tonight at Underworld (地下社會), a small basement club and a favorite indie rock hangout in Taipei. Garage rockers Bowztiger (包子虎樂團) and Super Tortoise (超級龜) are on tomorrow’s bill. On Wednesday, it is Indie pop rockers Luck & Chance and Beware X the Sky Falling (天空X樂園).

It is a night of hardcore/breakcore spun by a troupe of DJs including Awe IX and Sonic Deadhorse tonight at Indie rock club Revolver. It is the third installment of the Black series tomorrow featuring DJs Neker, Kile and Inn. On Wednesday, goth-punks Qi Lai Observatory (奇萊山觀測站) share the bill with Commercial Killing. Thursday’s lineup includes post-punk act Manic Sheep and Ridiculous Jackson (荒謬傑克森).

Mando-pop singer Zou Zong-hans (鄒宗翰) performs at Pipe Live Music, a main venue for indie music and parties, along with One Million Star (超級星光大道) alumnus Hsieh Chen-ting (謝震廷). It is alternative rock act 3.D.B (參噸半樂團), emo/pop rock band Contrary Think (逆思) and Luzictomorrow. On Sunday, the venue hosts the Taiwan Boredom party featuring psychedelic heavy rockers Sleaze (湯湯水水), punk rockers Touming Magazine (透明雜誌), Kirihito and Groundcover.

Folk singer Hsia Ning-shan (夏寧衫) and twin indie pop singers Yi-cheng, Yi-ching (依錚依靜) play tonight at Witch House (女巫店), an intimate coffeehouse-style venue in the National Taiwan University area. Fingerstyle guitarist Sujer (舒吉吉) shares the bill with The Ghost of Mississippi Blues tomorrow. It is Folk duo Light Engine (光引擎) and solo act Gladys on Thursday.

Popular rock act Mary See the Future (先知瑪莉) is scheduled tonight at Riverside Live House (河岸留言西門紅樓展演館). Mando-pop singer Xiaoyu (小宇) takes the stage tomorrow. On Thursday, the venue hosts a musical party containing a mini concert by jazz quartet Tiny Step, an open jam session and a lecture given by guitarist Eiji Kadota.

One Million Star alumnus Queen (魏如昀) and electronic rock group Chemical Monkeys (化學猴子) take the stage tomorrow. Mando-pop singer Filipe King (杜俊瑋) shares the stage with Aboriginal group TV Night Class (電視夜間部) on Sunday. On Tuesday, it is pop rock acts Gsus (激射樂團) and 36 Roundhouse Kicks (36迴旋踢樂團), followed by indie rockers Philosophy Cats (芙拉絲費貓) on Wednesday.

Sappho de Base, a late-night lounge bar that hosts mostly jazz shows, presents American pianist Lafayette Harris Jr, a past member of the Duke Ellington Legacy Orchestra and backing musician for Max Roach, tonight. Ash & Friends play tomorrow, followed by jazz combo Worms Sextet, not Wrinkle (六蟲奏,不皺) on Tuesday. It is a night of hip-hop and jazz on Wednesday, featuring rap artist Leo 37, drummer Ed Schaefer, guitar and sax player Matt Fagen and pianist Jason Haiyashi. Trio J T is on Thursday’s bill.

A cappella band Vox (玩聲樂團) sings tonight at A House, a venue dedicated to a cappella and with a focus on classical, jazz and world music. Actors Have Music (戲子有琴), formed by four actors and musicians, take the stage tomorrow.

On Fridays at Italian restaurant Capone’s, it is live music from electric blues band Bopomofo (ㄅㄆㄇㄈ). On Saturdays, drummer be Nbugu Kenyatta leads a band playing music from his hometown of New Orleans. Sunday nights feature Ariel & Michael playing disco oldies. Leavy croons light standard jazz songs on Mondays, followed by jazz duo Mary Jane and Nathan on Tuesdays. On Wednesdays it’s Latin music from guitarist Roberto Zayas. Yvonne sings classic jazz tunes on Thursdays.
