Legacy Taipei hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tonight’s spotlight is on Japanese pop singer Tomomi Itano, followed by Japanese pop and R&B singer-songwriter Mai Kuraki on Sunday. It is the release party of hard rock/metal act Pink Noise’s (粉紅噪音) debut album on Wednesday, supported by taike rockers Zenkwun (神棍). Japanese jazz-fusion drummer Akira Jimbo performs on Thursday.

It is a hip-hop night tonight at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, with Soul Star Band (靈魂星樂隊), Triple T (三小湯), Puzzle Man and Mouzik. HY, a rock band from Okinawa, Japan, arrives tomorrow. Sunday’s roster are heavy metal/rock band Epitaph (落幕表述), Goth metal group Frost Tears (冰霜之淚) and Spresto (馳云章樂團). Electronic duo Orientone (大聲東) mixes Oriental music traditions with electronic sounds on Wednesday, with dance/rock outfit Acidy Peeping Tom (微酸的偷窺狂) and retro rockers No Money No Honey also on the bill. Thursday’s show is by pop/funk group MosquiCyanide (蚊子氰化物) and Taichung rockers Jiang Dong Cheng Ming (江東成名).

Indie rock club Revolver hosts Midnight Ping Pong (午夜乒乓), indie pop group Glue and post-punk rockers Macbeth (馬克白) tonight. Tomorrow’s lineup features psychedelic noise jam band The Junk (帆人) and garage/shoegaze act Skip Skip Ben Ben. On Sunday, Japanese post-hardcore/dub group Nemu and hardcore act SeeK join forces with Taiwan’s screamo group Until Seeing Whale’s Eyes (直到看見鯨魚的眼睛), The Junk (帆人) and Countervalve (逆瓣膜). Jazz/blues ensemble Jam Song Band is among the performers on Wednesday.

Local rappers and hip-hop artists gather at Pipe Live Music, a main venue for indie music and parties, for a show tonight. Participating artists include Dr. T, Money and Ta Tien (大天). Sunday’s lineup include college band Barbaccino (巴布奇諾) and punk act Mr. Nobody (無先生).
