Legacy Taipei hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tonight, Chinese pop singer Wanting Qu (曲婉婷) makes an appearance, followed by Japanese rock group Bump of Chicken tomorrow. Visual kei band Royz from Japan takes the floor on Sunday. Wednesday’s show is by Taiwan’s alt-rock act Guntzepaula (槍擊潑辣).

It is release party of garage rock outfit HiJack’s debut album tonight at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, joined by alt-pop band 13 (拾參). Tomorrow, the venue hosts the latest installment of Lacking Sound Festival (失聲祭), featuring China’s harsh noise/pure noise group Torturing Nurse (虐待護士), Chinese new media artist Jiang Zhuyun (蔣竹韻), Taiwan’s experimental electronic sound duo Mescaline and electronic outfit Sonic Deadhorse (音速死馬). On Sunday, Defeat the Giant, A Greater Taichung-based melodic hardcore band, celebrates the release of its debut EP, with metal/hardcore act Human Brutality (人類暴行), hardcore punk group The Roadside Inn and metalcore/melodic death metal outfit Greedy Black Hole also playing. Wednesday’s roster include psychedelic noise jam band The Junk (帆人) and avant-garde rock/post grunge group You-S (你們你們).

It is live music from pop rock/hard rock group On the Way, trash mental act Changer and The Hyper tonight at Pipe Live Music, a main venue for indie music and parties. Silk Wood (絲木) fuses jazz and funk tomorrow, with Bizcashi (比茲卡西) also on the bill. Sunday promises to be a night of metal noise with metalcore bands Blind Alley (盲胞愛莉) and Zangief (桑吉爾夫) as well as death metal act Geometry (幾何).
