Legacy Taipei hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tonight, Animelo Summer Live, Japan’s largest comics and animation concert, woos local fans with a bevy of Japanese anime singers.

On Sunday, accordion duo Chang Han-chung (張瀚中) and Tsai Wei-ching (蔡偉靖) team up with Chen Ying-ta (陳穎達) to perform a mix of jazz, rock and tango music at Legacy Mini, a spin-off of Legacy Taipei. Paiwan songstress Ah-bao (阿爆) croons on Wednesday.

Greater Kaohsiung pop-punk group Fire Ex (滅火器) wraps up its one-month concert series tonight at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, while pop singer Erica (江明娟) appears tomorrow. On Sunday, three Japan visual kei bands Daizy Stripper, BORN and DIV hit the stage. Wednesday’s lineup features ambient/indie-electronica act Heartones (心電樂) and Greater Taichung rockers Bike, Thursday’s show is by indie rockers Frusciante (佛香甜), Fubar and Presidon’t sad.

Tonight, Pipe Live Music, a main venue for indie music and parties, hosts the latest installment of Party in Brain, putting on a techno night with DJs Greco Dutch Dust, Tiger, ALBurro, A-Dao and Z+Kolette. Tomorrow’s roster include post-punk/garage rock group Tight Tight Crotch (緊褲襠) and folk rock group Young David (青春大衛).

Tonight, indie rock club Revolver hosts a rave party featuring DJs Cotton Disco, DJ Chamber, @L and Katrina. It is a techno night tomorrow with a lineup of DJs including Howie Lee, a producer and DJ from Beijing, Taiwan’s @llen and BxxG, formed by Veeeky and Sonia from Go Chic. Sunday promises to be a punk night with activist punk band The Deposers (罷黜者), street punk group Selfish Sucker (自私的混蛋) and four-piece horror punk act Sledge City Slashers. South Korean experimental rockers G.T. Arpe arrive on Wednesday, accompanied by Taiwan’s pop rock outfit The Slim Cigarettes (涼煙樂團) and Mister Grey (灰先生). Thursday’s roster include Japan’s four-piece instrumental band OVUM and futurepop group MassMan.
