Legacy Taipei, located in a former warehouse at Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914), hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Pop musician and pianist Denise Juan (阮丹青) holds a concert tonight. On Sunday, Japanese rockers Asian Kung-Fu Generation and Straightener take the stage, accompanied by Taiwan’s veteran rock band Tizzy Bac. Rock veterans The Chairman (董事長) join hands with Ardor Huang (流氓阿德) on Tuesday, while Thursday’s lineup features post-rock/emo band Orangegrass (橙草), Brit pop/grunge group Trash and progressive metal/polyrhythm act Vulner.

Five-member Japanese visual kei rock band DaizyStripper arrives tonight at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, while Japanese pop singer Mikuni Shimokawa performs tomorrow. Sunday’s show is by post-rock combo 2HRs and post-rock act Phantasy of Mirage (現象師). Electronic duo Orientone (大聲東) mixes Oriental music traditions with electronic sounds on Wednesday, with electronic/post punk group Miss Banana (香蕉小姐) also on the bill. On Thursday, experimental singer-songwriter Wang Yu-jun (王榆鈞) plays with electronic folk band WWWW (落差草原)

Tonight’s roster at indie rock club Revolver include psychedelic noise jam band The Junk (帆人), dub/reggae/stoner rock group Taimaica Soundsystem (台買加環繞音效) as well as DJs Shorty and Ereki P. Tomorrow, the venue hosts the second installment of Purple Cow 2 Void (紫牛太虛), a trance party featuring DJs Wayland, Elin, Medusa and Psylus.

Yu Hao-i (余昊益) from Macbeth (馬克白), The Junk’s (帆人) Min Kuan (民官) and A-hsien (阿顯) of Inhuman Band (非人物種) get together tonight at Roxy Rocker, a basement hangout for indie rockers and fans in Taipei. Tomorrow’s lineup is formed by alternative rock band Under the Moon, Taichung-based rockers Point 22 and pop rock outfit The Slim Cigarettes (涼煙樂團). The Christmas party on Tuesday features shoegaze band TuT, disco/post-punk outfit New Sunglasses (新墨鏡) and electronic rockers Flux.

Pipe Live Music, a main venue for indie music and parties, hosts alternative metal group Lumei (露魅), Le’Sens Vie and pop rock/blues band Bullseye Guava (紅心芭樂) tonight. Sunday is the day for rockers Huoyaodays (火曜日), presidon’t saD and Zan (風切音).
