Legacy Taipei, located in a former warehouse at Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914), hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tonight, Chinese classical musician and pipa soloist Chung Yu-feng (鍾玉鳳) performs with Sambasunda, an Indonesian ethnic music fusion ensemble whose style is influenced by the traditional sounds of Sundanese culture. Fingerstyle guitarist Baobu (保卜) from Taitung is on tomorrow. On Thursday, it is the latest installment of the Next Big Thing featuring electronica outfit Fabric Factory (織品工廠), Indian music troupe Coromandel Express and psychedelic rock band The Gigantic Roar (巨大的轟鳴).

Gothic metal outfits Crescent Lament (恆月三途) and Renascimento (文藝復興樂團) play with pop/emo rockers Clubs of Three (梅花參) and heavy metal band Orchid Sword (蘭花刀) tonight at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists. Tomorrow’s spotlight is on Japanese pop singer Piko. Indie rockers Donkey’s Ears (驢子耳朵) performs on Sunday, with folk rock combo Young David (青春大衛) and Baroque indie-pop group The Tic Tac also on the bill. On Wednesday, it is a night of instrumental music with Collider, BHD and Dronetronics.

Tonight’s show at indie rock club Revolver features electronic post-rock act Formosa Romance and noisy experimental rock group The Sign of Human (記號士). Tokyo’s folk-rock group Pororocks joins forces with a troop of Taiwanese bands including instrumental rock outfit BHD, Until Seeing Whale’s Eyes (直到看見鯨魚的眼睛) and garage/shoegaze group Skip Skip Ben Ben tomorrow. On Sunday, the venue hosts the seventh edition of Raw Noise Attack, featuring seven bands from Malaysia, Japan, Australia and Taiwan including Australian post-metal act Fear the Setting Sun, sludge/metal act Wynken Delirium of Malaysia and Taiwan’s black metal/trash metal group Desecration.
