Legacy Taipei, located in a former warehouse at Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914), hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. The spotlight is on local folk hero Lin Sheng-xiang (林生祥) on Sunday, who plays with long-term music partners including guitarist Ken Ohtake and bass player Toru Hayakawa.

It is the release party of funk/disco/nu-jazz combo Funky Brothers’ (放客兄弟) debut album tonight at The Wall (這牆), Taipei’s most prominent venue for indie rock artists, with jazz/hip-hop artist LEO37 and Aboriginal group Totem (圖騰) also playing. Japanese rock group Acidman takes the stage tomorrow. Sunday’s roster includes acoustic guitar duo WoodyWoody, pop rock outfit Oyaji Gangster and visual rock outfit Naraku (奈落). It is electronic/post punk group Miss Banana (香蕉小姐) and Shoegazing band TuT on Wednesday.

Japanese indie rockers Shizukani Hisomu Hib arrives at Indie rock club Revolver tonight. Also on the bill is instrumental rock band BHD, garage rock outfit Eyeball Killer (眼球殺手) and Until Seeing Whale’s Eyes (直到看見鯨魚的眼睛). Tomorrow, the venue hosts Islandjam’s Firerama, a reggae party featuring DJs Taili and Mighty Lion from Black Reign Intl Sound. Sunday’s show features electronic rockers Flux and electronic folk group Firstraw (第一根稻草). Chiptune band Physical Chemical Brother (理化兄弟) and electronic/metal band 77 N’ DD appear on Wednesday, followed by punk group Destroyers (擊沈女孩) and female rockers Black Mocha (黑摩卡) on Thursday.

Psychedelic folk rockers No.7 Cyan (七號青) shares the stage with Instrumental/post-rock outfit Mass Man tonight at Roxy Rocker, a basement hangout for indie rockers and fans in Taipei. Indie rockers Yellowback (野樂派) and Murky Crows (昏鴉) play tomorrow.

Tonight’s lineup at Witch House (女巫店), an intimate coffeehouse-style venue in the National Taiwan University area, is formed by eclectic folk band Winking Owl and alternative rock/trip-hop outfit Figure Ground (人形觀點樂隊). Indie singer-songwriter Zoe Huang (黃玠瑋) croons tomorrow. Up-and-coming pop singers Eunice Png (方恩沁) and Elise Go (張礎安) are scheduled on Thursday.
