Legacy Taipei, located in a former warehouse at Huashan 1914 Creative Park (華山1914), hosts top Taiwanese pop performers and international acts. Tonight, nine local bands play classical works of Wu Bai (伍佰) as a tribute to the rock star. Participating groups include punk rockers Inhuman Band (非人物種), Random (隨性樂團), reggae rock group Hang in the Air (盪在空中) and indie pop group Queen Suitcase (皇后皮箱).

Goth-punks Qi Lai Observatory (奇萊山觀測站) and instrumental rock band Shimmer Riot take the stage tonight at Underworld (地下社會), a small basement club in Taipei. Alt-pop band 13 (拾參) plays two sets tomorrow as part of the celebration of its 13th anniversary.

The ongoing festival at Roxy Rocker, a basement hangout for indie rockers and fans in Taipei, celebrates Roxy’s 31st anniversary over the weekend with shows by Taiwan’s top indie acts including 1976, ska group Mary Bites Kerry (瑪莉咬凱利) and garage rock favorites 88 Balaz (88顆芭樂籽).

It is a night of electronica spun by DJs Z, Yen, Fortune, Lottery and Slamer at Indie rock club Revolver tonight. It is free for girls tomorrow featuring electronic group Kid Millionaire and garage/pop/psychedelic band Blind Acid Date. Sunday’s show includes death metal/deathcore outfits Geometry (幾何) and Die in Vain (死於枉然).

Noted for updating traditional Chinese music for a contemporary audience, all-women group Musou Band (無雙) hit the stage tonight at Pipe Live Music, a main venue for indie music and parties. Metal outfit Murder Soul (弒魂煞) is on tomorrow’s bill. Formerly known as The Clippers (夾子電動大樂隊), The Clippers Show Time (夾子脫口秀樂團) is back on Sunday.

Aboriginal singing combo Lan-hsin Band (嵐馨樂團) perform tonight at Witch House (女巫店), an intimate coffeehouse-style venue in the National Taiwan University area. Tomorrow’s lineup include Funk-rock/nu-metal band Coach (教練) and Pink Haze.
