The Kuandu Film Festival (關渡電影節) broadens its scope this year with the addition of animation to its lineup of student shorts. This year also features a special section devoted to films from Thailand. The Kuandu International Animation Festival (關渡國際動畫節) begins tonight at 7pm with Jumping Boy (不倒翁的奇幻旅程), a feature film comprising five animated sequences by several Taiwanese artists and directed by Chin Lin (林福清). It concludes on Sunday at 3pm with Khan Kluay 2, the sequel to the Thai blockbuster Khan Kluay, which follows the adventures of an insouciant elephant in search of his long-lost father. Other movies from Thailand include Shutter, the story of a woman who begins to see ghosts after a hit-and-run accident, and Hello Stranger, a romantic comedy about two strangers who meet on vacation in South Korea.
