Oenophiles will have plenty to do this weekend at Wine & Gourmet Taipei (台北葡萄酒展), which takes place at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 3 (台北世界貿易中心三館) tomorrow and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. More than 60 exhibitors from 15 countries, including France, Chile and the US, are taking part in the event. In addition to wine, spirits like brandy will also be featured. Collectors can peruse accessories like glasses, decanters and decorative bottle stoppers or equip their wine cellars with racks, wine thermometers, coolers and refrigerators. Want something to chew on in between sips? The list of gourmet food includes cheese, caviar, oysters, smoked salmon and chocolate.

The event is hosted by Kaigo, an exhibition organizer that for the past two years has held WhiskyLIVE and Fine Spirits. There will be wine tastings and master classes (for a fee of NT$250) and beginners can hone their palate at the wine introductory tasting (Sunday from 11am to 11:50pm). Other sessions cover wine from South Africa, Italy and France. Admission is NT$300 for a one-day pass. For a full list of brands and events, visit www.winegourmettaipei.com.
