    If Kids Theater (¦pªG¨àµ£¼@¹Î) has teamed up with Municipal Chinese Classical Orchestra (¥x¥_¥«¥ß°ê¼Ö¹Î) and The Taipei Folk Dance Company (¥x¥_¥Á±Ú»R¹Î) to bring audiences The Unforgettable Legend (ªF¤è©]ÃÓ). The family production is based on a story written by popular Taiwanese folk author Sih-ma Jhong-yuan (¥q°¨¤¤­ì) and tells the story of a snake that teaches martial arts to a woodcutter and the consequent struggles he faces with his newfound fighting skills.

    Off Performance Workshop (¥~ªí§{) will perform a stage adaptation of Scener ur ett aktenskap (Scenes From a Marriage) and is the final performance of NTCH¡¦s 2008 International Theater Festival. The play is based on the six-part television series written and filmed by Swedish director Igmar Bergman of the same name and tells the story of a husband and wife who go through a series of difficulties that eventually result in the breakdown of their marriage.

    NSO Forever Tales ¡X Peer Gynt Wonderland (NSO¥Ã»·ªºµ£¸Ü¥Öº¸ª÷ ¡X ©øÂΪº²§·Q¥@¬É), a mixture of music and theater intended to be enjoyed by the whole family brings together the prodigious talents of the National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Chang Yin-fang (±i¤¨ªÚ), with TV host Tung Chih-cheng (¸³§Ó¦¨), theater director and comedian Chao Chih-chiang (»¯¦Û±j), choreographer Wu Yi-fang (§d¸qªÚ) and members of the If Kids Theater Group (¦pªG¨àµ£¼@¹Î). This program, based on the well-known composition by Grieg, follows on from the highly successful Peter and the Wolf, Fire Bird and Carnival of the Animals.

    New Sounds of Taiwan ¡X Requiem for 228 (¥xÆW·sÁn ¡X ¤G¤G¤K¦w»î¦±) will see the Music Department of the National Taiwan Normal University (°ê¥ß¥xÆW®v½d¤j¾Ç­µ¼Ö¾Ç¨t) perform Requiem for 228, a composition by He Fang-lug (¬_ªÚ¶©). The concert will also feature a performance of Beethoven¡¦s Symphony No. 3 ¡§Eroica.¡¨

The program includes Mendelssohn¡¦s Concerto for Two Pianos in E Major, Ma Shuei-long¡¦s (°¨¤ôÀs) Searching, for Gu Zheng and Orchestra and Brahms¡¦ Symphony No. 2 in D Major, Op. 73.

    Witch House (¤k§Å©±) features Lo Si-rong (ù«ä®e), an award-winning poet and singer/songwriter from Miaoli, tonight. Lo¡¦s music can be seen as a contemporary twist on the lyrical eulogies on nature found in traditional Hakka mountain songs and literature. Influenced by a free-flowing rhythm, she has written hundreds of folk songs in Hakka, Hokkien and Mandarin that bring a new vitality to traditional music.     Hong Kong grunge four-piece The Darlings and alt-rock singer Oliver Ching, also from Hong Kong, take to the stage on Sunday at The Wall (³oÀð). On Tuesday, it¡¦s New York-based band Dynamite Club. This self-proclaimed ¡§retard-core¡¨ band has a sound that¡¦s reminiscent of Japanese punk outfit the Boredoms. One reviewer noted that virtually all the band¡¦s songs ¡§begin as something akin to blues rock, ascend into unrefined jazz-rock and then explode in a massacre of drum rolls and squawking, distorted guitars.¡¨ Frontman Kentaro has been known to provoke the ire of local law enforcement by stripping while performing at Formoz and other festivals. Also making an appearance on Tuesday is Vroom. Then on Thursday, it¡¦s singer Tai Ai-ling (À¹·R¬Â) and indie-rockers Neon, whose music video for Road Ahead has received air time on MTV.

    Exploring Asia ¡X Episode One of the NPM Southern Branch (±´¯Á¨È¬w ¡X ¬G®c«n°|­º³¡¦±¯S®i). To herald the coming of the museum¡¦s southern branch in Chiayi County, which is under construction, the exhibition serves as the first instalment of a series of thematic presentations on Asian cultures and arts to be held in the new branch.
