Life is just one big puzzle for Yan Theater Troupe.

Members of Yan Theater Troupe (衍劇團) have used their own life experiences to create the play Puzzle 25 as a pretext to revive friendships that had lapsed since they graduated from Shih Hsin University (世新大學) University three years ago.

The play took shape over a year ago when the troupe of actors was discussing the reasons why they only had time to meet once a year.

Curious to understand why the close friendships they shared at university had become superficial, they began meeting and discussing their lives with the purpose of producing a play. During these gatherings, director Luca Lu (呂耿賢) took notes, which later formed the basis for the script.

"Television played a huge role in why we weren't meeting," He said. Rather than going out with friends, she spent most of her time in front of the television.

The control television exerts over the characters in real life is represented in the play by a character Lu created called God TV. When the play begins, God TV has control over the characters through the wishes that it grants. Or seems to grant.

All characters in the play share the same experience of God TV granting them a wish that doesn't hold up.
