The MV Doulos came to Kaohsiung from the Philippines. It will visit three Taiwan ports before departing on May 8 for Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong. This is MV Doulos' fifth trip to Taiwan and its last trip to Asia as the ship is scheduled to be retired by 2010.
By 2010 GBA's other floating library the Logos II, which visits mainly Latin American countries, will also be retired due to structural problems.
Replacing the two ships will be the Logos Hope, which is being fitted out in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will be twice the size of the MV Doulos.
