The city of Metropolis, 207km2 of it, is also devoid of life. People walk the streets, but they won't talk to Superman. While Metropolis looks great from the skies, you cannot enter its buildings, not even the Daily Planet, where Clark Kent works. And just where does Kent live? Where does Lois Lane live?
Superman — standing alone atop the tallest spire of Metropolis — can only wonder.
