An Oktoberfest of German culture

Choreographer Sasha Waltz and 13 friends will present four performances of her Korper from Nov. 10 to Nov. 12. The full-length production examines the human organism and the quest for immortality and reproduction.

The German festival comes to an end with one of the oldest orchestras in the world, the Dresden State Orchestra (Staatskapelle Dresden), which will be making its third visit to Taipei. Led by South Korean conductor Chung Myung-whun, the orchestra will perform A Night of Brahms on Nov. 14 and A Night of Beethoven on Nov. 15.

Tickets for the Made in Germany events run the gamut from NT$150 for the music lectures to a top price of NT$3,600 for the the Bavarian State Ballet and Dresden State Orchestra. The average range, however, a more affordable NT$800 to NT$2,000. Tickets are selling fast so buy now or risk being told Ausverkauft (sold out).
