The works of Mishikawa Nishikawa and Tetuomi Tateisi stand out for their symbolic use of local orchids, which were prominent in their paintings.

In the last section, "The New Lines of Street-Front Architecture," a faux-architectural arcade shows the western classical influence on urban planning during the Japanese colonial period.

The decorative embellishments combine Taiwanese folk art with various foreign influences. Overall, the exhibition is educational but will inspire the viewer to learn more about this historical time period.
