Opened almost three years, The Epicurean (
The menu is tiny compared to those found on Taiwan proper, but the Western food is passable and a drink with a view of the Pacific Ocean is always refreshing, especially on a typically hot day on Orchard Island.
The restaurant/bar serves sandwiches, snacks and an assortment of daily specials including local wild pig and goat. Prices are reasonable and visitors can expect to spend between NT$250 and NT$350 for a meal and beverage.
The Epicurean also serves the island's specialty, flying fish with taro, sweet potato, vegetables and rice. The island's signature dish, the flying fish meal is a must-try for any visitor.
The Epicurean also has Internet access should holidaymakers feel a sudden compulsion to check their e-mail accounts, or catch up on the latest news.
