Sound was also an important element and is increasingly becoming more of a concern in contemporary art in Taiwan. Sound artist Wang Fu-jui (王福瑞) has a wall projection of figures combined with his familiar sounds of electronic blips and bleeps.

The only interactive work is Tseng Wei-Hao's (曾偉豪) PICSOUND that allows the viewer to scribble lines on a wall that is wired to speakers that amplify the sounds of the mark-making. However, the sounds from the other videos tend to overpower this piece.

One drawback to this concise exhibition is the exclusion of women artists (an alarming recent trend in local exhibitions) as it unfortunately gives the message that there is no space in contemporary art for women artists in Taiwan and that is quite dystopic indeed.
