The campus of the Taipei European School (TES) will come alive with music, food, fun and games for the whole family tomorrow morning, when it plays hosts to the annual Eurofest, which this year will be donating all proceeds to aid organizations involved in Tsunami relief efforts in South and Southeast Asia.
Jointly by the European Chamber of Commerce and Trade (ECCT), TES and with support from ICRT, the event will take place at TES's Wenlin-Road campus from 11am to 7:30pm. ICRT will be broadcasting live from the event throughout the day.
As in previous years, the festival will feature food cooked by several of Taipei's leading hotels and restaurants, preparing everything from Western-style food to local delicacies.
Students parents will also bring foods. And in keeping with tradition, the school's PTA will once again be cooking up its popular "healthy" hamburgers.
A selection of fine European beers and wines will also be on sale.
To help festival-goers get into the swing of things, several of Taiwan's most popular expat bands will perform throughout the day. The day's music will be provided by the official TES band named Bo Po Mo Fo, The Anglers, Schlumpy, Red 23, Boogie Chillin, Neon and the Joanna Connor Band.
All who attend the event will have the opportunity to walk away with some pretty neat prizes in the grand raffle. Prizes include baskets packed with luxury European goods, weekend getaways in several of Taiwan's leading 5-star hotels and one lucky soul will be driving away in a new Chrysler 300C.
The Taipei European School Shihlin campus is located at 731 Wenlin Rd, Taipei (台北市文林路731號). Admission to Eurofest 2005 is NT$100 for adults and NT$50 for children. Tickets are available at the door.
