Santa will be bringing bangers for TES Christmas

    By Gavin Phipps
    STAFF REPORTER
    Friday, Nov 19, 2004, Page 15

Tomorrow is a day to make merry and get festive at the Taipei European School's (TES) primary education campus in Shihlin, when the school opens it gates to the public and holds its annual Christmas Bazaar.

Now in its 10th year, admission to the event is NT$20 and all proceeds will be donated to the school library fund and a local charity.

Food for this year's bazaar will be provided by outside caterers, including the Sheraton, Howard Plaza and the Landis, as well as several well-known local eateries and by the students and parents.

The ever-popular TES BBQ will once again be operating and offering the chance to chow down on traditional British sausages. Other stalls, run by parents, will be selling a selection of homemade international fare, including Indian, Thai and Japanese food.

The family day also features a wide range of events and games for children, with 22 stalls providing kids with an assortment of fun and games from face painting to tattoos.

As usual, thousands of prizes including airline tickets, weekend breaks at top hotels and home entertainment equipment will be up for grabs at the bazaar's raffle and lucky wheel.

The Taipei European School's 10th Christmas Bazaar will take place from 10am to 4pm at the primary school campus, at 731, Wenlin Rd, Shihlin District, Taipei, (北市士林區文林路731).
