Love and marriage go together like a hunting knife and hoe

The Tsou Aboriginal's Fona Festival will begin tomorrow and traditional wedding ceremonies in Alishan can now be undertaken by the general publicby derek leestaff reporter

A marriage certificate will then be issued to the newlyweds and a wedding banquet follows at noon time.

Jason Chung (鐘福松), the director of the Alishan National Scenic Area Administration, says he hopes the glamour of the Tsou at the Fona Festival will soon become a new journey of romance for young and old couples and The Ode of Green High Mountain will continue to echo through the mountains.

When: Nov. 20 to Dec. 18.

Where: The newly completed Tsou Aboriginal Cultural Park, at 47.5km Leye, via the Alishan Highway (Provincial Highway 18).

What: Major activities will be held Friday to Sunday. The wedding ceremony is held every Saturday morning from 9:30am to 11:30am.

Daily activities and exhibitions include tribal culture exhibitions, local food and an agricultural products market, Tsou singing and dancing.

Cost: First 25 couples every Saturday, NT$999 per couple.
