The Taiwan Rock Alliance (TRA) is
gearing-up and setting the wheels in motion for the now annual three-day extravaganza of punk, metal, rap and rock featuring both local and overseas indie/alternative acts.

Over 100 bands are slated to perform during the three-day event, which will include four stages -- called Fire, Mountain, Wind and Wood -- each of which will focus on specific acts depending on their musical genres.
While TRA is still finalizing many of the local acts, to date the band list includes all the usual suspects such as Wonfu (
Kicking up a racket alongside the local indie/alternative bands will be a host of overseas talent, including Singaporean black-metal heads, Impiety, Japanese post-rock combo, Sugar Plan, South Korean hip-hopsters, MP Family and emo-punk, or emotional punk combo Johnny Royale -- a band that, according to a TRA spokesperson can bring audiences to tears.
Hong Kong rap-metal act, Fat Job, will also be in attendance with its hybrid brand of Canto-metal-rap.
While the Asian acts have all confirmed their attendances, SARS has caused the five-piece Richmond, Virginia-based punk revivalists, Strike Anywhere to delay
confirmation.

As per-usual, there will be a series of special pre-festival concerts on each Sunday prior to the festival.
The first of these will take place on June 28 from 3pm through 9pm at the Shihsanhang Museum of Archeology (
Tickets for this year's festival cost NT$350 for the Saturday and Sunday and NT$600 for Monday, the final day.
A three-day pass will cost NT$950. Tickets are available direct from TRA or at the venue on the day.
