Meanwhile, Andre Sokurov's homoerotic Father and Son, a minor work compared with his remarkable Russian Ark, which looks like breaking arthouse box office records in Britain, won the international critics' prize, while the Italian family epic The Best of Youth took the top award in the Un Certain Regard section.
