A motley crew made up of a dozen of the nation's leading folk artists of yesteryear will be gathering together at Chungshan Hall (中山堂) over the following three days for a mini-folk festival organized by the Broadcasting Corporation of China (BCC, 中國廣播公司).
Entitled Folk Generation, the special series of concerts is part of the radio station's 74th anniversary celebrations and will see an all-star line-up taking the stage of the prestigious Taipei venue.
Along with the help of the members of the Huanyan Big Band (幻眼合唱團), acoustic guitar wielding icons such as Lee Ming-teh (李明德), Lee Po (李度), Chang Yi (鄭 怡) and Hsu Jing-chun (許景淳) will be performing a whole heap of foot-tapping folksy material, much of which dates back to the halcyon days of Taiwan's folk heyday of the 1960s and 1970s.
Folk Generation will take place on July 12 to 14 at 7:30pm in the Chungchang auditorium of Taipei's Chungshan Hall (台北市中山堂中正廳). Tickets cost between NT$800 and NT$1,200 and are available from Acer ticketing outlets nationwide or direct from the venue.
