Rated G, directed by Rob Sitch, with Sam Neill (Cliff Buxton), Kevin Harrington (Ross "Mitch" Mitchell), TOm Long (Glenn Latham), Patrick Warburton (Al Burnett), running time: 104 minutes.

In the days before the July 1969 Apollo mission put the first man on the moon, NASA worked with a group of Australian technicians who had agreed to rig up a satellite interface in the southern hemisphere. A shaky electrical supply, and the fact that they placed it in the middle of a sheep farm, leads NASA to worry that their Aussie colleagues might not be up to the task. Fate deals the Australian crew a bad hand when their satellite becomes the only means of broadcasting humankind's first steps on the moon. A windstorm picks up speed and puts the football-pitch sized satellite dish at risk of toppling, but the wily crew prove that they have the right stuff.
