Rated G, directed by Jerry Zucker, with Rowan Atkinson (Enrico Pollini), John Cleese (Donald Sinclair), Whoopi Goldberg (Vera Baker), Cuba Gooding Jr (Owen Templeton) and John Lovitz (Randy Pear), running time: 112 minutes.

The maker of Airplane! and the Naked Gun series serves up more fare for a discriminating palette. John Cleese is the owner of Las Vegas' swankest casino. Having grown bored of slot machines and roulette wheels, he and a group of billionaire friends organize a race and bet on its outcome. Stuffed in a locker in New Mexico, US$2 million awaits one of six teams of unlikely contestants: a determined mother and daughter; a pair of inept brothers; a clean-cut lawyer; the NFL's most despised referee; a narcoleptic Italian man; and a desperate Jewish father. The billionaire gamblers track all the moves that each team makes as they must overcome a series of inconceivable pranks and pratfalls -- inconceivable, that is, to anyone who isn't Jerry Zucker.
