The Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋節) doesn't have to involve sitting on the sidewalk with family for a barbecue. Nor does one have to stuff oneself with greasy mooncakes. A alternative option on this traditional holiday would be to try the Full Moon Trance Party (夢田2001與嫦娥共舞) at Taipei's @Live.
The party starts Sunday night at 9pm and runs to 8am the next morning. Dreamfield has a record of attracting top DJ talent from abroad, and for this party they have brought in G.M.S. of TIP World UK, DJ Akira from Japan and Israeli DJ Ziki.
Tickets cost NT$800 in advance (deadline Saturday) and NT$1000 at the door.
