Willington Lee (李松峰), owner of Taipei's Gallerie Elegance which has a large Dali sculpture of a soft watch, says that the show is exciting for local collectors who rarely have the chance to see his paintings outside books. There are an estimated 50 Dali sculptures in Taiwan, says Lee.
A series of seminars has been arranged to accompany the Dali show before it moves on to Shanghai in May. The first discussions is on Feb. 16 with psychiatrist Wang Hao-wei (王浩威), who will deliver a lecture called "Freud's world of the subconscious."
